Another day close to home, Herceg Novi.

At the base of the Stari grad, by the water, is a 17th century fortress and citadel. The citadel fell over in the 1979 earthquake:

Stari grad has no cars, only passages for walking. Many steps, the whole shebang is on a 15+% grade:

Had lunch at Portofino Bistro on Belavista Square. Quite good (2nd to Konoba Feral):

Plaza around the Church of Saint Leopoldo Mandić:

Out of Stari grad, walked along the waterfront. Coffee/tea at Peter’s Pie & Coffee, leading contender for best cafe:
