65: time to hit the road

OK brace yourselves. Today was the most beautiful day of the trip. Trips? We took a bus to Taormina.

Mid-day the heavens opened & we had a bath:

Then we hiked up the mountain behind town, to Castello Di Mola & Turrisi:

On the way up you pass Chiesa Madonna Della Rocha, a church built into the rock (forms part of the ceiling) around 1640:

Back into Taormina in time for sunset:
