65: time to hit the road

Ft Bragg to Crescent City

We are on 4 hour watches during the day, 3 at night. My day started with the 5-8AM watch: 39.40.52lat, -124.08.47lon, ‘Jackass Gulch’ (it’s on the map, honest)..

scrambled eggs (!!)…and one of the small flock of decidedly un-seabird-like birds that accompanied us for a couple hours..

After a bit, a 15kt breeze from the south, up with the chute..

..and sun..

All ‘downhill’ from there into the night.
